Truth Campaign Hosting First-Ever Free College Music Tour

Cobra Starship and Outasight will headline truth’s, the nation’s largest youth prevention smoking campaign, inaugural college tour with a free concert at the Bryce Jordan Center on Oct. 3.

The anti-smoking promotion also includes a day of on-campus activities featuring the truth truck and truth tour riders.

According to a news release, truth’s success is largely a result of connecting with young people through a shared passion – music –as a way to “subtly integrate truth’s important messages into the experience.”

Cobra Starship was first introduced to the truth campaign during the 2008 summer Vans Warped Tour when the band was a featured musician on tour and the truth crew and truck appeared as part of Vans full day of festival activities.

Admission for the event is free courtesy of the Penn State Student Programming Association (SPA). Registration for the free concert will take place on the event’s Facebook page, which become active on Sept. 24. Anyone can also register at the door.

The concert will be on a first come, first served basis.
