The XSport Fitness Rock ‘n’ Roll Chicago Half Marathon today announced that Billboard music chart toppers Cobra Starship will headline the finish line concert on Sunday, July 22, following the 13.1 mile block party taking place throughout the streets of Chicago. Created by former Midtown bassist and lead vocalist Gabe Saporta, Cobra Starship’s chart-topping hits include “You Make Me Feel…,” “Good Girls Go Bad,” and “Hot Mess,” and a new single “#1NITE.”
“Cobra Starship is currently one of the hottest bands on the airwaves,” said Gary Rice, Entertainment Director of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series. “They will bring the party atmosphere our runners deserve to celebrate the accomplishment of completing 13.1 miles. Grant Park is a perfect finish line venue and I know our participants will be equally excited to hear Cobra Starship’s chart topping singles.”
The XSport Fitness Rock ‘n’ Roll Chicago Half Marathon is Chicago’s premier half-marathon scenic sites, with a downtown course that passes many of the city’s famed landmarks and picturesque parks.
